Freshworks is hiring a Senior Account Executive – Inside Sales in Chennai to join its fast-growing inbound sales team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing high-velocity inbound leads, conducting discovery calls, delivering tailored product demos, and closing deals primarily for clients in North America. The position offers the opportunity to work with a global SaaS leader that powers customer and employee experience for over 72,000 companies worldwide.
As part of a high-impact sales team, you’ll combine consultative selling skills with a deep understanding of the SaaS sales cycle to convert marketing-qualified leads into loyal customers.
Key Responsibilities:
📞 Inbound Lead Management:
- Engage quickly and efficiently with inbound leads generated through multiple marketing channels.
- Conduct detailed discovery calls to identify client pain points, goals, and fit.
- Manage and prioritize inbound pipelines to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
💼 Full Sales Cycle Ownership:
- Own the entire sales process — from initial contact to demo, proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Deliver personalized, high-impact virtual product demonstrations that resonate with North American prospects.
- Maintain accurate sales activity records and updates in Salesforce or HubSpot CRM systems.
📈 Revenue Generation & Forecasting:
- Meet and exceed individual revenue quotas while contributing to team performance.
- Forecast sales accurately and maintain healthy pipeline coverage.
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities post-sale.
🤝 Strategic Account Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Understand client needs, competitive dynamics, and Freshworks’ differentiators to close strategic deals.
- Navigate complex account structures and influence decision-makers effectively.
📊 Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales Development, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless client experience.
- Provide feedback to Marketing on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on pipeline health and performance metrics.
💡 Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with SaaS market trends, sales methodologies, and competitor activities.
- Participate in training, workshops, and performance coaching to enhance selling capabilities.
📊 Experience Needed:
3 – 7 years of proven experience in B2B SaaS inbound sales, preferably with North American clients.
